March 2022 NEWS
March 30, 2022 - Guy reiterated stay with the mission of an insurance job.
Angela mentioned there are some revisions to the Employee Handbook. #1) Co-workers must work their scheduled day before and scheduled day after an ALD recognized holiday in order to get holiday pay. If you call out, there is no Holiday pay. #2) A Co-worker can use vacation time if the weather does not permit them to come to work. Angela said the homeless shelter is still in need of shoes and clothing. Vern and Cynthia are scheduled for vacation April 4th through April 11. Adams birthday is April 4th.
Chris advised we are at 95% for the month.
Jo advised the flu season is upon us and be sure to keep yourself healthy and your family also. Dispatcher's scheduled 170 new jobs last week and Matt booked 30% of them. If you collect checks from customers, get them to the office ASAP. Zoe is still missing some checks for the past couple weeks.
March 23, 2022 - Guy started the meeting by reminding everyone to know the mission especially on insurance jobs. Homeowners are good at having a different mission but we must accomplish the insurance company's mission before we address any for the homeowner. Before you bid a job for repair, call the office and get the availability for us to get a repair crew out. If the homeowner needs something done before then, refer them to one of our partners and do not give them a price. Pool detectors need to trace electrical lines for future use. It is becoming common that we need to refer back to this. We need to know how far/deep any pipes are in the wall of the structure. Will a core drill be needed and what kind of pipe. Also need to know the skimmer type.
Chris mentioned that Jo's 3 yr anniversary is Saturday and we are now sitting at 76% for the month.
Jo advised that if a tech wants to switch their 2nd and 3rd jobs, they can. we tell the customer arrival is between 10-4. Jo reminded everyone to wear booties into people's house as we are getting into the rainy season. Jo advised that 176 jobs had been scheduled last week and 16 repair bids sent out. We already have 145 pools jobs scheduled. Jo mentioned we will be having a bowling party in the month of April. Stay tuned for more info.
Vern mentioned that Angela was at an HR seminar today and Jo will be traveling to Dallas on Thursday afternoon to be in SalesForce training.
March 16, 2022 - Guy reminded everyone that Thursday and Friday could be busy with several techs off. Guy shared a photo of air being left in a line and someone flushed.
Angela shared Derrick Nelson will be visiting Friday and doing a ride-a-long. He is a potential pool tech for the OKC area.
Jo advised that pool conversations are starting to happen with people on the phones and if it is 70 degrees outside and the pool is heated to 80, we will dive after April 15. Our diving season starts May 1, we will start diving un-heated pools as long as there is not a cold snap. Jo thanked Vern for the tables in the tech room.
Google 5 Star Review - For Jimmy & Matt - After 2 plumbers came out and was unable to find a leak they referred me to American Leak Detection. I called and set up an appointment for the following day. Jimmy Childs came at the appointment time, he was professional, very knowledgeable and courteous. He checked the plumbing in the house ffor leaks first. The checked around the water meter. He used an amplifier system to locate the exact location. He dug in the ground and water started flowing. It took him no more than an hour to locate the leak. I appreciate a job well done.....A Steel
March 9, 2022 - Guy thanked everyone for doing such a good job signing tools out of the cage. It is going much better. Guy mentioned if you go out of town on a job, take things to dig.... You never know when you will need them. There are 4 Leak Detectors off on March 17 and 18 and 3 off on the 21st. Everyone be ready to take an extra job if an emergency comes in. Be aware of caulking on whirlpool tubs. Code states there has to be access to plumbing. If not, the customer needs to provide that. We do not want to be removing tiles and expensive things to get access.
Angela mentioned the men's shoe donations for the Day Center Homeless Shelter. Daylight savings time starts the 13th. Zoe's birthday was the 8th.
Everyone watched a safety video. Common Sense in the Workplace. Jo announced free Home and Garden tickets for Thursday, it is open until 8pm. See Jo for tickets. Jo thanked Marlon for covering for Ben while he was on vacation.
March 2, 2022 - Guy wanted to remind everyone to get your prontos in on time and our prices have increased so be sure you provide GREAT service.
Chris mentioned we finished the month of February at 114%. He also mentioned that air bottles are on back order and empty bottles need to be rotated out of the trucks the day they are empty. Please do not leave trucks running unnecessarily in the parking lot. It is understood they need to be warmed up in the mornings and possibly run a while to keep the battery charged but please keep an eye on that. Chris also announced that Zoe has been promoted to Business Analyist. Congrats to Zoe!
Angela announced that last week we had 3 anniversaries....Brandon's 2 yr anniversary (plus 1 yr as a temp employee). Travis' 3 yr anniversary and Robert's 10 year. Tuesday is Zoe's Birthday. Angela shared she is looking for a pool guy for the OKC area and a helper for the Jenks office. If you know anyone, please tell them to contact Angela. Angela thanked everyone that came out and helped Feed the Homeless.
Jo advised there will be a Safety Video next week. Those not attending the meeting will be able to view it from the employee intranet. Jo and Gabe discussed participation and it was decided there would not be a spring softball team. Jo announced that ALD will have a billboard spot on I-44 and Harvard, facing west running March 7 thru 13. Wayne advised it is a digital billboard and ALD's ad will be one of the ones scrolling next week.
Vern advised to take care of equipment, it is taking longer and longer right now to get things back when they are sent in for repair. Vern also asked that co-workers be respectful to others, peer-to peer.

Sean Neeley wrote in on Stacy, Drew and Dakota. I've had American Leak Detection out to my house a total of 5 times now I believe, and these guys have all been fantastic! I had to have work done on my foundation, requiring a static leak test before and after. I'm not great with names but all the employees have been great, they are on time, helpful and do a great job explaining what they are doing. Once my foundation work was completed, when we had the static test done again we unfortunately found out we had a leak caused by the foam injection. So, I had to reschedule with ALD to have the leak located, and they were able to squeeze me in much sooner than I'd expected, once the leak was located they also managed to come back out within 2 days to get that repaired. These guys did a great job and I couldn't have asked for anything more, keep up the great work folks!
Curtis Troy wrote in on Stacy and Kenny. I have used American Leak Detection twice, once to detect and the again to have leak fixed. ALD is the go to for most pool companies, They are easy to deal via email and phone and are very responsive to questions or concerns. Kenny C came out and fixed the leak. He arrived on time, called ahead and work diligently to fix the issue. Extremely professional and friendly.
Effective March 1, 2022 - Price increase over all regions plus repairs for fresh water, drain and pools.
